   Big Woods Fish And Game Preserve is a beautiful, private refuge that provides a unique, year around, fishing resort. Big Woods was designed in 1989 and constructed to be more than the average fishing and hunting clubs. The fish population in our preserve is many times greater than that which occurs naturally. This abundance of fish, as well as, greater numbers of large fish, is possible by carefully managing water and having periodic feeding programs.This enables a sportsman to expect an exciting action filled trip. Big Woods attempts to cater to the purest of sportsmen. We believe that it is the sport of fishing that intrigues large numbers as well as size is what we're striving to achieve. our lake is stocked with a variety of fish such as bluegill, redear sunfish, Threadfin shad, Gizzard shad, fathead minnows, and golden shiners. Every species of fish in our preserve has a function in the overall eco-chain. these fish were selected not only to provide a source of food for the bass, but to develop an eco-chain which is self perpetuating. Big Woods Fish and Game Preserve constantly maintains the population of various species in the lakes. The preserve consists of 360-acres of pristine waters and habitats that support an abundant amount of migratory deer and water fowl. Members also enjoy access to an additional 3,000 acres of farm land that lies adjacent to the preserve. Membership of Big Woods Fish & Game Preserve initially reap the benefits of world class fishing, and other benefits being reconized on a continual basis as we add to our resort. Lodge facilities and our cooking pavilion are available for our members and their guest at no additional cost. Big Woods furnishes all fishing boats, trolling motors, and duck blinds for the members. We believe we can furnish a unique recreational development, catered to our members needs, at a reasonable price. . Big Woods Fish and Game Preserve is located in the Southwest corner of Louisiana,Conveniently located mid-way between Houston, Texas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is easily accessible from Interstate 10.
