Big Woods Fish
And Game Preserve is a beautiful, private refuge that
provides a unique, year around, fishing resort. Big Woods
was designed in 1989 and constructed to be more than
the average bass fishing experience. The fish population
in our preserve is many times greater than that which
occurs naturally. This abundance of fish, as well as,
greater numbers of large fish, is possible by carefully
managing water and having periodic feeding programs.
Every species of fish in our preserve has a function in
the overall eco-chain. Big Woods Fish and Game Preserve
constantly maintains the population of various species in
the lakes. The preserve consists of 360-acres of pristine
waters and habitats that support an abundant amount
of migratory deer and water fowl. Members also enjoy
access to an additional 3,000 acres of farm land that
lies adjacent to the preserve. Big Woods Fish and Game
Preserve is located in the Southwest corner of
Louisiana,Conveniently located mid-way between
Houston, Texas and Baton Rouge,
Louisiana and is easily accessible from Interstate
